And I've been fighting something for almost a week and today (since I was only working 9-2 anyway) I decided that enough was enough.

I haven't called in sick in ages but I'll probably hear about it tomorrow anyway (when I work... tah dah... 9-2).

Stupid flu.

So, wm decided that its employees should have the chance to get the flu shot for $4 (just had to show the med card) and of course I got mine first thing today when I went to work.

Now, you have to understand, getting the flu shot for me is just like actually getting the flu. Not as bad, not for as long, but all the symptoms are there: achy, run a fever, nauseous. And it usually takes 10 to 12 hours to get that way. Usually.

Not with this one. I got the shot about 10:00, by 12 I was sick. And because I know that it's just because of the shot, it's not like I can say "going home, have the flu" or anything like that. So, lots of motrin later, I came home, took a hot shower, took more motrin, talked to the daughter and now I'm going to bed.

Flu shots, gotta love 'em.
