Well, tomorrow is Becca's 21st birthday. Well, technically, it's already her birthday there because Okinawa is 14 hours ahead of here. I'm hoping she reads this and at least tries to get online when it's my nighttime so that I can wish her a happy birthday when I get in tonight from work.

And if anyone from my flist wants to wish her happy birthday, her lj is ysiacolb.

We'll eat ice cream cake tomorrow in honor of your birthday because I'm off!

And I hope your box gets there in time, too.

And did I put birthday in this post enough?

Yeah, right.

First, I took extra hours because one of my co-workers needed the entire weekend off and management wouldn't give it to her. Ijits. And now she's quitting. Which makes two in the last month. Which means we will be short-handed once again. Wonderful. Just before all the college students come back.

Then I get the invite for a shower for one of my best friend's oldest (but year younger than my daughter!) for the same day that I was working for M. Go figure. No good deed ever goes unpunished.

So I go to the shower (which was fun!) and then to work (which wasn't). And was told by D that our asst manager told her that she would be in the Deli and Meat depts all day Sunday so that we would be ready for KChemical on Mon. Uhhuh. She's never in the Deli. Even to take temps. And once again, there is not enough help on the weekend. And she thinks that there's going to be extra cleaning done? Surrreee....

Today we went to Avcom Park and had fish/chicken fry with the d-i-l and granddaughter and it was tasty and fun. Allie likes catfish! And I found out that one of my friends is now divorced. And I really was sort of surprised, I knew that they had problems, but had not realized that it was that bad. But she said that she was tired of being angry all the time. So, she and her daughter (my daughter's age) are living in a house by her parent's and E got the house that they had worked on all those years... I'm assuming that she took a financial settlement... At least I hope so.

And to top it all off (and yes, it is making me just a bit depressed and teary and wobbly and... you get the drift) MY BABY DAUGHTER IS TURNING 21 THIS THURSDAY!!! IN JAPAN!!! So, expect nothing of any consequence from me this week... And I even have Thurs off which might save everyone at work... But not anyone at home...

sigh
