And you know, this first thing I though was, "Well, of course he did!"

Must really finish almost done GW fic...

So, I have this GW story that I'm still writing (almost done) that is based on my local newspaper's headline of 'Duo Takes over Abby Lanes'.

Same paper, this time it says: Maxwell Receives Heart's Desire.

If that's not a hint, I don't know what is. So, today, I'm going to try and finish the story and get it typed up. Or vise versa.

And yes, it's way too early to be up, I'm going to have to have a nap later!

So, back-to-school weekend is over... And it was a disaster. Hopefully, everyone was ok at work today, but I had it off and let me tell you, I DID NOTHING. Well, I did cook lunch. But other than that, nope. Nada. Zilch. And I loved every moment of it.

Our management is sooo stupid... wait, isn't that the beginning of a joke? Anyway, they are. Not enough help, not enough cashiers, not enough of anything. But I got out on time and that's all that counts.

Oh yes, and I laughed myself sick during lunch at E and A almost made me snort drink through my nose, gotta love it! She was harassing him because he's got a girl on the side, and of course, I said nope, doesn't work that way... All right, I really said that I'd slice off the dangly bits and toast them... or something like that. Anyhoo, E was all, but I'm not sleeping with the one, she's just a friend, and we were all yeah right. It was pretty funny and something we needed with all the madness going on out on the floor.

And now I have to go back tomorrow... and the schedule for the week has everyone working the beginning of the week and only 2 openers and 2 closers for Friday. Unless something changes, no oil change then.

And my little dabble, it's now TWO chapters long! It's all Kracken's fault!

Oh yeah, need a commission? Go to Kracken and have one done, she does beautiful work and school bills really wanked her out. *snickers* That sounded just... sooo... bad! But really, she's good!

I am going to try and get some of the story online, just to see how everyone likes it...

Usually, the voices in my head are stuck in RK and that's mostly what I write (and have posted on y-gal) but then there was the GW drabble and now...

There is a work in progress!

And even though it's only a page long (so far), I'm tellin' you, it's all Kracken's fault! Really!

And as soon as it's a decent length, I'm going to figure out the whole 'posting on lj' and put it up.

And yes, bowling is involved!

I had a really nice day off today, got to see the granddaughter dance (hey, at 2 and a bit anything they do is cute!) and then came home and cooked a little dinner. So, really, all in all, an nice day. Would have been better if a certain daughter had called, but she might be working...

But the other day, when we got our little town newspaper, I had to laugh. On the front page was the heading: "Duo takes over Abby Lanes". *Not* that I'm fixated on GW or anything like that, but I must have laughed like a loon for at least 10 min, and giggled everytime I looked at it afterwards. Abby Lanes is a bowling alley in the town north of us, and can't you just see the boys pitching in to help Duo run the place! OMFG! Either that, or the five of them go bowling and literally take the place over... I can just see Heero being banned because he broke the return, Wufei ranting about the injustice of being being beaten by a long haired idiot, and Q and T necking as T teaches Q just *how* to throw the ball!

I'm thinking that there's a story in there somewhere... And that'll make the second one that I've written in the GW universe.

But now we're down to three.

But that's better than most years, usually she deserts them all and has a second litter. This year she seems to have decided to keep nursing these. And they are cute.

And I know that I said this somewhere, just not sure where, that the whole drabble thing was a fluke (maybe) because now the muse that's always being bothered by Duo seems to be making GW noises. (I can't *hear* you!) ((Too many other fics to finish.))

I really think that I'm just scared to do this... the only voices I've ever really heard were from Runouni Kenshin and this would definitely add to the din. Oh, well, just will have to wait and see.

Maybe I could placate it all with more drabbles...

1x2 Drabble

Everyone always talks about how much he talks, about how manic he is. But I know a totally different side of him.

There are the times when we just sit and are quiet. He'll tug me over and make me lie down with my head in his lap on the couch. We can be that way for hours, his hand running through my hair, combing it out of my eyes, a soft smile on his face.

And as I look up at him, holding his braid in one hand, I wonder how I can be so lucky to know the quiet side of this wonderful man.


And that's it.

And the muse that gets poked at by Duo all the time just sits and smirks.
