So, I get my car back so I can drive it to work tomorrow. Then the husband has to take it back to Macomb to get it aligned (the dealership's machine is broken so they're paying to have it done) and so I have to drive the truck on Mon. Bleh. But then it should be all better. And I even got 80 bucks out of the deal, he cashed the check from the salvage yard (from my old car) to pay for everything, then he got half of what was left and gave me the other half. First time in a long time that I've got real money in the box on my desk.

My daughter's base in CA was one of those that was out of power when the lights went out. We really need to work on infrastructure, it's sad when someone FIXING something causes this kind of problem.

And it's football season! And I was home for the Packer game! (Does happy dance) I really don't watch many other sports (soccer occasional) because I like all the action you get with football.

And work still sucks. And now we're going to have layaway for Christmas. And I was amused that one of the comments was that just who did they think was going to be doing all of this, with cut hours and not enough people working. My thoughts exactly. Bad enough that they want us all to do the work we did when we were working 40 hrs a week, now they're going to want us to add more jobs to the schedule. Good luck with that.

At least today is mostly sunny and fairly warm, I miss the hot weather already. No one else does, but I like 80+ weather, thank you very much.

And tomorrow I'm going to the rifle club lunch with the husband, well, he's going to meet me there as he's going to go to Farm King and stock up on stuff since it's tax free weekend and there are sales on stuff that we use. But I've never been so it'll be nice. I do have to make deviled eggs for it, and hopefully a couple of our friends will be there as well.

So that's it for my day. So far, I've fed the birds, watered the plants, cooked lunch, and have a load of laundry in. And there's college football on. If it was just a little warmer...

One of my aunts just sent me a video called "Life on the train" and although it was interesting, the thing that was truly sad was the fact that all the people in it were white. Absolutely ALL of them.

And you have to understand, this is the aunt that rants continually about Obama (because, you know, he's black, Muslim, bad for the country, etc.), blacks, Latinos, Indians, anyone not born in this country, really, just anyone not like her. Or her family.

I really don't understand her all that much, and I don't remember her being this way when I was younger. Of course, I was younger, and pretty much went my own way even back then.

I will always remember the daughter sprouting off something and then going up to her room and the husband looking at me and saying, "When did we raise a liberal?" I just looked at him.

It's not so much that we're liberals, it's the fact that there are right things and there are wrong things, and there's even some shades of grey. But there are no absolutely right things for some people and not for others. Just as there are no absolutely wrong things for some people and not others. And I really get tired of some that feel that way, and want me to be the same.

"I think, therefore I am" is not just something to hang your hat on, it should be something that you actually do. Think, I mean. Too many don't. They simply react. Just like sheaple.
