Sinus infections, how I love it
Dec. 30th, 2008 11:50 pmSo, after only sleeping about 2 hours last night (after opening my present from the daughter -- a brand new Nikon D60 camera!) because of the pain I was in, I spent the rest of the night in my chair. At least that way I got a little more sleep.
Called the doctor and found out from his nurse that I was lucky that I had called when I did, he was only there for another hour and then was on vacation for a week. ON VACATION. FOR A WEEK.
Isn't there a law against that... there should be!
Anyway, went to work, went to pick up the medicine... it's 5 pills. That's FIVE. PILLS. (drum roll) For $130.
Thank all the four footed friends in the forest I have insurance... dropped it down to $30. For 5 pills. That's $6 a pill.
And they wonder why people just stay sick. You can't afford to get well.
And granted, I have problems with generics (I'm usually hyper-sensitive to the carriers) and have to have the real thing.
But really, there should be a law.
And yes, I took the first dose at work, anything to get rid of the pain... which will take a while to get rid of totally. And I know that I have to keep taking the over-the-counter stuff... But I already feel better.
Five pills. $130. Ridiculous.
