And there was light
And to all the mom's on the flist... happy mother's day!
Belated, true, but hey, after the day I had...
I got up sometime after 6:10am and found that we had no power. And it was windy. At least the torrential downpour was over. So, I read a little, ate some breakfast, took my vitamin, and went back to bed. Hey, I was tired!
At 12:45 the husband got me up and I trotted off the work, well, I went to Macomb and put gas in the car and then went to work. And around 4 (when I called home) we still didn't have power.
So, when I came over the hill by the lake and could see the nightlight outside and the porch light was on... thank the lord! Not sure when the power came back on and don't really care. At least I got a hot shower tonight.
And tomorrow will be clean up (well, today, really), 'cause the wind took the tin off of the scale house on the west side. Plus all of the dead branches on the ground.
Oh yes, and we have kit foxes at the townhall. At least 6! And I saw some of them tonight! So pretty! We need a sign so that people watch out for them. We like foxes!
