And there was glad rejoicing

My son came home from Irag last night and surprised everyone! He's only home for a couple of weeks but at least he's home.

And it's still raining off and on. Blah. At least our luck is holding out, all the really bad rain and weather keeps going north and south of us.

*Hugs* I was very worried about you, with all of these storms. That was a fantastic surprise. Have a very good time with your son.

He's got his daughter the entire time as well, and will be going up for a few days to see the grandparents, especially since Allie said that she wanted to go up and see them. But I could have killed him, he just walked in the house like he hadn't been gone for months!

I hope you enjoy all the time you have at home with him!

That's great. Give him a hug and a 'well done' from me.

We had nasty weather around here. Storm warnings and everything. Lightening struck a nearby tree and we were out in the rain to see if we needed to do something with it. It fell across the blacktop about twenty minutes after we called the sheriff and were told to stay away from it. (which we did) The county had to come out in the rain and hail to cut it up. We now have about $500 dollars worth of fire wood to cut up. *g*

Firewood is always good. We had about half the rain that everyone else had, and only some of the wind. So we've been lucky there.
