The house is quiet...
Because unfortunately the husband is in Iowa City with my aunt and uncle. My uncle went by ambulance on Wed and is still being evaluated. He had esophageal cancer earlier last year and although everything looked good after all his treatments, now he has trouble breathing and talking. They had to traq him and did a ct scan and there is a node of some sort on the nerve that controls everything on that side. Hence, the trouble with breathing and talking.
The husband was hoping that they'd be back today but no go.
And it's really cold out, it's already down to 6 degrees and the furnace keeps running and I had to refill both the humidifiers when I got home tonight. I'm glad I fed the outdoor cats in the machine shed, they have places to sleep warm out there.
But, as I said at work, I just did this last year! I shouldn't have to do it again this year!
